October
spooky season
Happy Halloween y’all! I truly feel like time speeds up this time of year. 31 days and October is over in a blink! This month’s reading was a mixed bag, so like last month I am only going to highlight the books I enjoyed. Did you dress up this year? I was Cleopatra, but for my Taylor Swift fans I was Elizabeth Taylor (my fave song from her new album). Hope you get lots of candy tonight.
October’s Reads & Reviews:
The Intruder by Freida McFadden: as you already know, I am a huge fan of Freida’s books they are what I call “brain candy” as in you don’t have to think too hard when reading them and can easily read in a day or two. This one was her best yet in my opinion and like all her other books there’s a great twist at the end.
The Art of Spending Money by Morgan Housel: I read this on audio and really enjoyed it. I’ve read his other book, The Psychology of Money which was interesting, this takes it a bit further to examine our relationship with spending. Much like Ramit, he calls for spending in line with your values. I’d recommend this to anyone, even if you don’t have much of an interest in finance.
The Women of Wild Hill by Kirsten Miller: I’ve read all of Kirsten’s books and I think this is her best yet. If feminist witches fighting the patriarchy is your vibe, you’ll love this story.
KLR’s Currently:
Watching📺: LOVED Task on HBO, and also watched Mare of Easttown after enjoying Task so much. I hope the creator makes many more shows like these!
Listening🎧: Still blasting The Life of a Showgirl daily.
Puzzling🧩: this ghost puzzle was fun for this month!

How is it November???? Haha
